Railfest showcased the best in British rail engineering from historic steam locomotives to the most recent 140mph electric multiple units. The rail freight industry was represented with both locomotives and rolling stock as was the railway maintenance industry displaying a range of specialist vehicles.

A number of superb model railways were exhibited covering N gauge to gauge 1 live steam.
